Year 1 hunt for wildflowers at Carymoor

Pupils in Year 1 visited the Carymoor Environmental Trust to learn more about the outdoor world and how to sustain it.

They spent the day playing a game whilst learning about the germination of seeds and were sent exploring the site looking for wildflowers in an identification challenge.

In the afternoon, the pupils turned their attention to bees, learning lots of interesting facts about the insects while visiting the observational hive – and they even got to try some honey!
